Privacy policy
Who we are
BurnerOrg runs burnerorg.uk. This policy explains what personal data the Service collects and how it is used. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, your name or company, whether you are a buyer or a seller, and a salted hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Marketplace content. The requests and offers you submit.
- Sign-in with another service. If you choose “Continue with” Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook, that service tells us your name, your email address and an identifier for your account with them, once you approve it. We never receive your password for that service, and we do not post anything, read your contacts or ask for anything else. The service learns that you signed in to BurnerOrg and handles that under its own privacy policy. You can remove BurnerOrg’s access at any time in that service’s account settings.
- Technical data. A session cookie while you are signed in, and standard server logs such as your IP address and the time of each request.
- Security check. Where it is switched on, sign-in and account creation use a Cloudflare Turnstile check to tell people from bots. Cloudflare, Inc. receives your IP address and technical details of your browser for this purpose and handles them under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
To run your account, to confirm that your email address is yours (we email you a one-time link when you sign up, and again if you ask for it), to show your requests and offers to the right people, to protect the Service from abuse, and to answer your questions. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
Sellers can see a buyer’s request but not the buyer’s name or email. Buyers can see the name of each seller who makes an offer. When a buyer accepts an offer, that buyer and that seller can see each other’s name and email. Our hosting provider and our email delivery provider process data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. To have your account and data deleted, email [email protected] (see also how to delete your data).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email [email protected] to use these rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Cookie policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job. This policy covers both.
What BurnerOrg uses
Only what the site needs in order to work:
- Notice choice. A small item that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not return on every visit.
- Sign-in session. When you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days or until you sign out. Only our server can read it; scripts on the page cannot.
- Sign-in handshake. If you use “Continue with” Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook, a short-lived cookie (10 minutes at most) protects that process against forgery. It is deleted as soon as you are back on the site.
What BurnerOrg does not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Third-party content
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and standard request data.
If you choose “Continue with” another service, you leave BurnerOrg for a moment and that service sets its own cookies under its own policy.
When you open the sign-in or sign-up window, the site may load a Cloudflare Turnstile security check from challenges.cloudflare.com. Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details to decide whether you are a person. It is used only to keep bots out, not for advertising.
Managing storage
You can delete or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie will stop sign-in from working.
